Spotlight on Education - Elective Home Education

As part of Sefton SCP's 'Spotlight on Education' practice fortnight...

Elective Home Education (EHE) is a term used to describe a choice by parents to provide education for their children at home instead of sending them to school full-time. 

The Complementary Education Service has responsibility for maintaining oversight of Electively Home Educated pupils in Sefton, and to ensure arrangements are in place to monitor and support arrangements that parents are required to put in place. 

The multi-agency Monitoring and Placement Group tracks and monitors pupil de-registrations from school settings across the authority.
